I confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, the incarnate Word through whom all creation is redeemed and reconciled. Rooted in his life, death, and resurrection, my faith is grounded in Holy Scripture and brought to life through the work of the Holy Spirit in the community of believers.
I affirm the core doctrines of the Christian faith as received in the Wesleyan tradition, including the mystery of the Holy Trinity, the saving work of Jesus Christ, and the authority of Scripture as the primary rule for faith and practice. I understand God’s grace as active and transformative, working in prevenient, justifying, and sanctifying ways to draw all people into deeper relationship with God. Through this grace, believers are continually formed in holiness of heart and life, growing in love of God and neighbor.
In the spirit of John Wesley, I embrace a faith that is both personal and communal, rooted in Scripture, informed by tradition, enlivened by reason, and confirmed in experience. Worship, prayer, and the life of the Church are essential means through which God shapes and sustains faith. I hold a deep appreciation for the richness of the Church’s liturgical life, while affirming the central role of the Word proclaimed and the active participation of the gathered community.
My vocational journey has unfolded across Anglican and Reformed communities, where I have been shaped by a love for ordered worship, theological depth, and congregational engagement. These experiences have strengthened my commitment to the unity of the Body of Christ and deepened my appreciation for the diverse ways the Church lives out its mission in the world.
My early formation in Methodist and Roman Catholic contexts instilled in me a lasting awareness of God’s grace, the call to holiness, and the importance of worship as a formative act of the community. These influences continue to guide my ministry, fostering a spirit that is both rooted in tradition and open to the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit.
Music has been both the language and vessel of my faith. I believe that sacred music is a means of grace, through which the Church proclaims the gospel, participates in communal prayer, and is formed in discipleship. In the Methodist tradition, congregational song is especially vital, giving voice to a shared faith and embodying the unity of the Body of Christ. Through hymnody, psalmody, and diverse musical expressions, the Church sings its theology and lives into its calling.
In all things, I seek to live and serve as one shaped by the grace of God, grounded in Scripture, attentive to the movement of the Spirit, and committed to the mission of the Church: to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
